사용 방법 ( How to Use )

1. 프리즘 덮개를 열어주세요.

    Open the plastic panel that covers the refractometer’s glass.

2. 2~3방울에 워트를 프리즘에 떨어뜨려주세요.

    Place few drops of cooled wort on the glass surface.

3. 프리즘에 덮개를 덮어주세요.

    Put the plastic panel back on top of the glass surface.

4. 몇 초를 기다린 후, 측정기를 빛쪽을 향하게 하여 눈금을 확인합니다.

    Wait few seconds and point the refractometer to a light source.

5. 파란색과 흰색 사이의 숫자를 확인한 값이 결과입니다.

    The result is the number between the blue and white area.

✔매우 어두운 색깔의 워트를 측정할 시에는 초기 비중을 측정한 후에 1.00146 으로 나누어 측정된 값을 사용하는 것을 권장합니다.

    예를 들어 어두운 색깔의 워트 측정 값이 1.070 인 경우  >>  1.070 / 1.00416 = 1.065 으로 계산됩니다.

    즉, 1.065 값을 사용할 수 있습니다.

✔사용 후에는 부드러운 천으로 측정마다 깨끗이 프리즘을 청소해주세요.

    프리즘을 깨끗이 보관하는 것은 정확한 측정을 도와줄 뿐만 아니라, 프리즘에 손상을 보호합니다.

✔RESULT MIGHT  NEED TO BE ADJUSTED WHEN MEASURING VERY DARK WORTS. (usually is suggested to measure your OG and divide it by 1.00416. for example if your DARK wort’s OG is 1.070 SG, 1.070/1.00416=1.065, so 1.065 should be the real OG)

Very useful during sparge. Check the wort coming out from the sparging process by collecting a small sample and putting it on the refractometer. With this method you can check the quantity of sugars left in your sparged grain.
